For the past 70 years, CERN has pushed the boundaries of technological innovation to examine the fundamental building blocks of our universe. In doing so, the Laboratory’s scientists, engineers and experts have uncovered new technologies that can have a positive impact on wider society. In 2024, CERN’s collaboration with industry continued to bear fruit with new partnerships driving advancements in fields such as healthcare, environmental applications, aerospace, digital innovation and quantum technologies. Additionally, CERN Venture Connect continued to support start-ups with accessing advanced technologies and expert business leadership.
